Swing Dancing Competitions
There are many competitions making up the circle of swing dance where social events offer compelling dance moves performed by experts of their trade. There are judges who regulate the events and score the moves by the performers etching out eventual winners. These competitions have broken down categories giving various experts of their style the chance to pick up a prize.
Some of the event categories can be easily broken down. Events can either be pre-choreographed as the competitors know the music they will be dancing to prior to the event or sometimes events mean the dancers only find out the music tracks as and when they get on the dance floor.
Swing dance steps are now mainly part of a jazz music style movement and are also been seen in some of the blues forms as these styles of music are pretty much brother and sister.
Many people are delighted to see the swing dance steps of old still being used in the modern world entertaining a huge following of swing dance. The style means young and old can join in as the diversity of the dance allows anyone who knows how to swing dance in any style to contribute a piece of what they know to any swing dance event.
