  I practice at Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. (NAL) in Apple Valley, MN. Nystrom & Associates is a Christian, Rule-29 counseling clinic. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) a family/divorce mediator, and a parenting consultant trained under Rule 114 guidelines, and on the Supreme Roster of ADR Neutrals in the state of Minnesota. 

I work with individuals (adults, children and adolescents), couples and families, providing counseling for a variety of issues, including:

My counseling perspective is primarily solution-focused. I believe that people have solutions within themselves and sometimes need help looking within to use those solutions. I help people focus on making the future more hopeful.

Insurance: Most major insurances are accepted; check with your carrier or contact patient registration at the number below to verify coverage. I also offer private pay rates on a sliding-fee scale.

About my mediation practice
Mediation is a process that enables people to settle disputes on their own terms, reach an agreement that they can feel satisfied with and avoid the emotion and cost of litigation. Examples of cases where mediation can be helpful include:

• Divorce
• Post-decree Disputes
• Neighbor/co-worker Disputes

I am a facilitative mediator, helping people use their strengths to reach solutions together! I offer a free 30-minute consultation that will go over the process of mediation. I offer very competitive rates! 

About Parenting Consulting
Parenting Consultants (PC) are generally court-appointed in high-conflict divorces or post-decree settlements. The PC will serve as an impartial third party to help a couple determine parenting time, schedules, and other things relevant to parenting. The PC may also help offer parenting strategies. If a couple does not agree, the court gives the PC authority to make parenting decisions, although they cannot determine custody. Rates are similar to the cost of mediation.
